Happy New Year!

Around noon today we started hearing what sounded like shotgun blasts occasionally. It worried me greatly! Jerry kept saying  that it must be cars back firing, then about 4:00pm there was a BIG explosion just across the street from us. Jerry was taking a power nap (big surprise) and it woke him up. I went out on our balcony and saw a respectable column of smoke rising. I really thought it was a shot gun going off, but people continued to walk and drive by, which confounded me to no end. As the evening has progressed, there have been more “explosions” and we have finally figured out that….duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it’s New Year’s Eve and there are no fireworks restrictions at all and the fireworks vendors still probably sell the old M-80s that we used to have in Oklahoma growing up. Jerry thinks they might even be bigger! We had to laugh at ourselves…okay, Jerry’s right…I’m paranoid!

Hi, guys! Your pics are beautiful, but. . .YIKES to the explosions! I don’t care if they were fireworks; you know how I feel about sparklers 🙂

Miss you guys and hope you are enjoying it there.

    Love you,

    Jenn and Fam

Just remember….Just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean that they are not really out to get you!

    What a beautiful place!
